Spanish TV show El Chiringuito reported on Tuesday night that Barcelona will push forward negotiations for Joao Pedro as Julian Alvarez’s potential move to Paris Saint-Germain gains traction. “Pedro is very appealing to Flick and possesses all the qualities Barcelona value. If the Alvarez deal stalls, the club will continue working on this exciting and widely backed option,” the program noted.
However, Chelsea appear reluctant to part ways with the striker, with reports indicating the Blues have no intention of selling Pedro this summer. The lingering question is whether the player himself would force a move if Barcelona come calling—few players have turned down the Catalan giants in the past. Still, the likelihood of the deal materializing remains low.
Elsewhere at Chelsea, Malo Gusto’s performance over the weekend drew criticism from some fans. The club is also actively pursuing managerial talks with Xabi Alonso, who is reportedly interested in the role. A deal could be finalized before the World Cup, and the news is not exclusive to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
