According to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah, Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah has decided to extend the contract of British CEO James Bisgrove by two years, keeping him at the helm until 2028. The club’s management confirmed the renewal, ensuring Bisgrove continues to oversee the club’s overall operations and management.
Bisgrove was officially appointed CEO of Al-Qadsiah on June 25, 2024. At the time, the club brought him on board to strengthen its management structure and elevate professional standards in administration and operations, driving both sporting and commercial growth.
During his tenure, Al-Qadsiah made progress in several areas, including renewing contracts for multiple first-team players to maintain squad stability. He also led the signing of several commercial partnerships and sponsorship deals, bringing in new funding and resources that boosted the club’s operational capacity and revenue.
Before joining Al-Qadsiah, Bisgrove accumulated extensive experience in European football management. He held key roles at Scottish giants Rangers, including CEO and board member, gaining deep expertise in club operations. From 2016 to 2019, he also served as the commercial and sponsorship manager for the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, overseeing commercial development and sponsor program construction, and contributing to operational reforms and event organization improvements at Europe’s top-tier competitions.
Al-Qadsiah believes Bisgrove has not only improved administrative efficiency but also played a crucial role in commercial development and international cooperation. Extending his contract through 2028 ensures continuity and stability for the club’s long-term development strategy.
