Johor Darul Ta’zim has etched its name into the history books after going 108 matches without defeat in the Malaysian Super League.
The Malaysian giants were eliminated from the AFC Champions League Elite at the quarter-final stage, losing 1-2 to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli, who eventually won the continental title.
According to Johor Darul Ta’zim’s official account on X, the club matched a world record previously held by Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas, who also went 108 consecutive league games unbeaten.
“Johor Darul Ta’zim equaled the world record after a massive 14-1 victory over Kelantan in the final round of the 2025-2026 Malaysian Super League season at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium,” the post stated.
Johor Darul Ta’zim’s unbeaten run in the Malaysian league has continued since April 2021.

The Malaysian powerhouse noted that it has now completed four consecutive league seasons without a single defeat.
